DIMITRIOS F. TRIANTAFYLLOPOULOS, MD - HEAD OF THE 2ND ORTHOPEDIC & TRAUMA DEPARTMENT OF THE ATHENS MEDICAL GROUP, PERISTERI CLINIC
Dimitrios F. Triantafyllopoulos, MD, was born in Athens. He graduated with honors from the world-famous Medical School of the Semmelweis University. He received internship training in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology in the following hospitals: Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois – CHUV and Hôpital Orthopedique de la Suisse Romande – HOSR in Laussane, Switzerland, under the guidance of professors Pierre-Francois Leyvraz and Alain Farron.
His mentor was Orthopedic Surgeon Georgios Kyritsis, and Orthopedic Surgeon Georgios Marangoudakis provided him with indispensable guidance while working with him on an exclusive basis at the Tzaneion Hospital.
Upon completion of his internship and residence, he worked as a salaried specialist registrar at various hospitals in England. He is registered in the GMC register as a Specialist Orthopedics Surgeon and has been named a Consultant at the NHS.
He is working only in the private sector in Greece, currently serving as Head of the 2nd Orthopedic & Trauma Department of the Athens Medical Group, Peristeri Clinic.
His Department carries out advanced knee, hip, shoulder and ankle surgery by the use of arthroscopy or open surgical techniques. He also serves as Director of the Bloodless Orthopedic Surgery Department.
